Through the shared horizon of history and hope, the bond between nations unfolds in harmony, unity, and shared values. With this spirit, Far Eastern Private School Al Shahba (FEPS) celebrated the partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Kuwait from the 2nd till the 5th of February 2026. With the theme, “UAE and Kuwait: Shared Past, Shared Future,” honor the highlights of the bond through art and literature.

The celebration kicked in from the morning of February 2 through a radio broadcast presented by chosen officers of the Social Studies Club, Toastmasters Club, and International Club. With the collaboration of their student leaders, the students were in for the rich heritage, cultural traditions, and unique identities of the two nations.
From local delicacies of food to distinctive customs and the vibrant lives of people, the broadcast brought an immersive journey into what makes the countries special, united, or individual. These underscored how history, culture, and people combine to shape a future of solidarity and mutual respect.
For the younger participants, grades 4 to 6, creativity became a bridge between imagination and heritage in their individual block grounds. In the poster-making activity, students brought to life the friendship between the UAE and Kuwait through colors, symbols, and vibrant illustrations. Each poster told a story—of shared history, cultural pride, and enduring bonds—transforming paper and paint into a celebration of unity and togetherness.
In a separate slogan-making activity, young voices shaped words into powerful expressions of connection. Through short, inspiring phrases, the students captured the spirit of cooperation, respect, and friendship that defines the UAE–Kuwait relationship. Their slogans, simple yet profound, reflected a deep understanding that even the youngest hearts can celebrate and honor a shared journey across nations.

Subsequently, for students in grades 7 to 10, the celebration encouraged reflection, creativity, and thoughtful expression. In the essay-writing competition, participants delved into the rich history and enduring friendship between the UAE and Kuwait, crafting words that celebrated shared heritage, cultural pride, and the vision of a united future. Each essay became a window into the students’ understanding, blending insight and imagination to honor the deep bonds between the two nations.
Along with this, the digital bulletin board contest offered a modern twist, allowing students to combine technology, art, and storytelling. Through photos, graphics, and written reflections, the bulletin boards captured the spirit of collaboration and unity, transforming screens into vibrant displays of friendship and shared values. Together, these activities highlighted the creativity and thoughtfulness of young minds, demonstrating that expression knows no bounds—whether through pen, paper, or pixels.
Amidst this flurry of creativity and reflection, students of all ages immersed themselves in activities that celebrated the enduring friendship between the UAE and Kuwait. From the vibrant posters and inspiring slogans of grades 4–6 to the thoughtful essays and dynamic digital bulletin boards of grades 7–10, each contribution highlighted the unity, shared values, and cultural pride that define the bond between the two nations.
As the celebration drew to a close, it became clear that the event was more than just a series of activities—it was a testament to connection, collaboration, and the power of youth to honor history while envisioning the future. Through art, words, and digital expression, participants not only learned about the shared journey of their countries but also experienced firsthand how friendship, respect, and cooperation can flourish across generations. The four-day celebration reaffirmed that the ties between the UAE and Kuwait are not only rooted in the past but continue to grow stronger, guiding the way toward a horizon filled with shared hopes and possibilities.
