On October 23, Far Eastern Private School Al Shahba hosted an exuberant United Nations Day 2025, transforming FEPS into a brilliant parade of nations. Under the unifying theme, “Celebrating the International Year of Cooperatives in Building a Better World”.

The morning commenced with energetic greetings from our emcees, who welcomed students, parents, staff, and visitors. The ceremony officially began with the entrance of the school’s esteemed leadership, along with the school administration. This was accompanied by the lively and enchanting FEPS Drum and Lyre Corps, whose spectacular performance set the mood for the day’s exuberance.

The very heart of this celebration is the Parade of Nations. A vibrant procession of students from KG1 to Grade 10, who proudly represented countries from every corner of the globe. Followed by the Parade of Nations was the Entrance of Colors; this was the ceremony’s powerful symbol. The program continued with Ms. Mary Jane P. Onato, who delivered her inspiring welcome remarks.

The highlight of the day was when our school transformed into a kaleidoscopic runway as students walked with pride, embodying their assigned countries through breathtaking national costumes. This visual spectacle of national costumes was continuously punctuated by cultural dance intermissions, where students from various grades showcased their exciting performances.

While the stage sparkles with beautiful presentations. Exciting adventures happen within the classrooms of the school. FEPSians travel from one classroom to another with their very own FEPS PASSPORT. Each classroom hosted a different assigned country, meticulously presented by their peers. They act as agents and showcase the culture and traditions of a country through a video presentation. They left with a sticker stamped into their passports as a souvenir.

The atmosphere culminated in the highly anticipated Grand Awarding Ceremony, where school leaders and administrators recognized student excellence across a variety of competitions. Awards were given for the Declamation Contest and Storytelling Contest, recognizing eloquent speakers, and the Debate Competition, for students who demonstrated diplomacy on global issues. Lastly, the Poster Making and Bulletin Board Contest, which commended student teamwork and creativity.

As the ceremony drew to a close. The Pledge to the World was led by student leaders from the Social Studies Club, MAPEH Club, and Arts & Crafts Club. The fun hasn’t come to an end; the last moments were filled with thrill and cheers, featuring special performances from the Music Club, Theatre Arts Club, and the Maharlika Dance Troupe. Bringing all festivities to a memorable finale.

To formally close the ceremony, Academic Educational Supervisor Ms. Seprina Sangcajo delivered a poignant closing remark. Urging all students to carry the values of unity, respect, and collaboration into their daily lives. The 2025 United Nations was a resounding success. This day always serves as a powerful, unified pledge to embed the values of respect, cooperation, and global citizenship into the very fabric of the FEPS community.
