As the atmosphere fills with excitement, the Volleyball players from all teams decided to approach the court with pure confidence, determined to show the skills that they honed in order to claim the championship on December 17 to 18 2024.
Volleyball Elementary Boys
At the elementary level, Scarlet Nexus went against the Golden Matrix in the first match. Although putting up a good fight, the Golden Matrix couldn’t stop the powerful serves and spikes, losing both sets to the Scarlet Nexus in a clean sweep with scores of (15-11) and (15-12).
Following the Scarlet Nexus’ victory, the Maroon Mirai competed against the Brownie Bytes. The game began with a close match, as each team won one set, but as the game progressed, Maroon Mirai won the first set (15-13), while Brownie Bytes secured the second set (15-13). As the Do or Die game started, the court erupted with fierce spikes and powerful serves from both teams, keeping it a tightly contested battle between the two that led to a series of deuces that ended in Maroon Mirai taking the win with a score of (21-19).
As the Championship Game began, the Scarlet Nexus instantly took the spotlight with their powerful serves, which overwhelmed the Maroon Mirai’s defense and claimed the first set with ease(15-6). The second set then started with the Maroon Mirai taking a short lead to ruin Scarlet Nexus’ momentum. However, the Scarlet Nexus turned the tide against the strong Maroon team, who won the set. This victory secured their title as the champions of the Intramural Volleyball Tournament for the Elementary Department.
Volleyball High School Boys
For the high school department’s first match, the Scarlet Nexus went up against Brownie Bytes. The Brownie Bytes dominated the game with their strong offense and even better defense that destroyed Scarlet Nexus (15-5). This motivated the Scarlet Nexus as they took back their win and defeated Brownie Bytes in an intense game that ended in their victory(15-14). In the Deciding Game, Brownie Bytes dominated the set with consecutive service aces against Scarlet Nexus, carrying themselves forward.
The following game had Maroon Mirai battling the Golden Matrix, it started with good plays from both teams, which led to an intense match that ultimately resulted in Maroon Mirai winning the first set (15-10). In the second set, the Golden Matrix expressed confidence in their skills, proving they deserved it as much as they did winning against the Maroon Mirai (15-14). During the All or Nothing game, the Maroon Mirai showed their dominance with their impressive skills that overwhelmed Golden Matrix’s defense, winning with ease (15-4).
In the championship game between the Maroon Mirai and Brownie Bytes, The first set started with Brownie Bytes carrying on their momentum and bringing it towards Maroon Mirai, defeating them with the score of (15-4). In the second set, Maroon Mirai took an advantageous lead against Brownie Bytes. However, the Brownie Bytes brought it back, breaking through the other team’s defense winning the set in a quick and orderly manner(15-10). As a result, Brownie Bytes claimed the title of Intramurals Volleyball High School Department Champions.
