On June 24, 2023, students of Far Eastern Private School (Al Shahba) finally reached the day to commemorate their significant efforts in the Academic Year 2022-2023. FEPSians from KG1, Grades 1-5, and Grades 7-9 gathered in FEPS Halwan’s Gymnasium to bear the fruits of their perseverance and determination. While they started the day feeling anxious, they soon gave way to exuberant emotions as they prepped to take the stage proudly.
The program began smoothly with the processional march of the Al Ansari Family, School Heads of FEPS Al Shahba, Halwan branch, and NFPS, school administrators, teachers, and school staff, who made the recognition day possible and remarkable for the students, alongside their parents and loved ones.
Afterwards, selected names were called to execute their assigned parts and push the program forward. Enrique M. Mayuyo (3B) led the UAE National Anthem, while Jamelelah Dezire Aguasin (2A) led the Philippine National Anthem. Following was the invocation of the Islamic prayer offered by Hasan R. Al Najjar (4C), and the English prayer delivered by Emir Luigi H. Tuao (5B). Kirsten Felicity L. Table (1B) addressed the FEPS Vision, while Ma. Ayesha Reyn A. Panopio (4A) conveyed the FEPS Mission.
To officially begin the ceremony, the School’s respected Academic Supervisor, Mr. Paul Benedict N. Yacap, provided an Opening Statement that fueled the awardees’ and visitors’ enthusiasm for what was to come. Clark Ravin R. Mendoza (KG 1B) spoke shortly after for the Words of Welcome, adding warmth and enthusiasm to the crowd.
Then came the eagerly anticipated moment when the students were recognized for their achievements throughout the academic year. Necks adorned with medals and hands filled with certificates, the students could not help but beam as they took the stage alongside their guardians, radiating pride and satisfaction.
Madam Maria Teresa Sales Al Ansari, Sir Ahmed Al Ansari, Ma’am Nawal Al Ansari, Sir Loai Younis, Ma’am Kristle Anne C. Ping-ay, Sir Gerald B. Ping-ay, Sir Hamdan Al Ansari, Ma’am Lena Calafato, Ms. Mary Jane P. Onato, and Mr. Paul Benedict Yacap were the individuals in authority over the awards and certificate distribution, together with the invigorating voices of the Masters of Ceremony, Mr. Ronron D. Tenorio and Mr. Paul Benedict N. Yacap.
A while later, it was time for the Words of Gratitude prepared by each grade level’s chosen student. With sincerity and eloquence, each student conveyed a heartfelt and unforgettable message to the audience, expressing deep gratitude on behalf of their peers for the consistent support and guidance they received throughout their educational experience this year.
In keeping with the theme of reflection on the school year, a captivating array of films was presented by each class, capturing the cherished moments they shared and illuminating the unforgettable experiences that shaped their bond. These films captured the essence of their journey throughout the year, highlighting the unique spirit of each class.
Ms. Mary Jane P. Onato, the school’s beloved Principal, gave her closing remarks with overflowing passion as she stood witnessing what the students had been through and stating how proud she is and will continue to be of them. Soon after, Zahra Gail R. Fragata (9C) led the singing of the FEPS Hymn, which was followed by the final recessional for each grade level.
As the Recognition Day drew to a close, a wave of gratitude and joy washed over the students’ hearts. They felt celebrated for their accomplishments this year and looked forward to their forthcoming school years. They entered the world with eternal gratitude for the bonds they formed and the support that propelled them forward. This turning point in their education marked the beginning of a new chapter in their academic journey, one they now eagerly anticipate.
