To properly celebrate the formation of the country and the unification of the seven emirates, the Far Eastern Private School (Al Shahba), came together in the campus main ground, designed colorfully by the staff and teachers. On November 27, 2023, to commemorate another prosperous year of success, we celebrated with the theme: “Intensifying UAE’s Year of Sustainability.”
This remarkable day began on the campus’ main ground, designed with the meaningful colors of the U.A.E. flag. The first part of the program began, and the masters of ceremony filled the crowd with energy and high spirits as they welcomed the Majorettes and Drum & Lyre for an outstanding performance. The parade of all grade levels followed, featuring students donning striking UAE national costumes, leaving the audience in awe.
The first part of the program officially commenced. With the singing of the UAE national anthem, accompanied by the Islamic and Christian prayers, the recitation of the FEPS Vision and Mission, and the singing of the FEPS hymn led by the selected students.
Moving on to the second part, the program began and showcased the very first Arabic dance presentation of the day, presented by the selected KG pupil, leaving the audience in utter astonishment. This was then followed by the awarding of the ‘Color-Me’ Contests, and the Arabic dance of the primary pupils that once again, captivated the crowd.
This was then proceeded by the reading of the UAE’s short history in both Arabic and English, with high school students impressively presenting important facts and information they had prepared beforehand.
Following, the extraordinary Arabic Dance Presentation of the high school department, with the help of the selected Maharlika Dance Troupe members, truly wowed the crowd.
To formally conclude the second part of the ceremony, FEPSians crossed their fingers as the awarding of the quiz bee and bulletin board competitions began. Starting with the winners of the intermediate department, followed by the high school department.
And to officially end the program, we were reminded to stay focused on contributing to the advancement of our nation by upholding sustainability practices. As H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum once said, “The spirit of the union paired vision with work, hence cultivating success.”
