Indeed, such heartfelt and passionate words are sure to captivate anyone’s heart. Let us simply consider a few verses from her poem.

“Guro, apat na letrang nakaukit sa aking puso. Kailan ma’y ‘di malilimutan sa lahat ng

natutunan.   Yeso ma’y pudpud na, patuloy pa rin ang sulat sa pisara.”

This passage expresses gratitude and admiration for our teachers. The “four letters” symbolize the word “teacher.” Signifying the profound impact that educators have on their students. The idea that these letters are “etched” in the heart conveys an everlasting emotional connection. Despite the passage of time or the wear of a pencil, the lessons learned remain vivid and continue to resonate among us. Highlighting the enduring influence of a teacher’s guidance and wisdom. Overall, it captures the essence of appreciation for the knowledge and inspiration imparted by an educator.

“Sa murang edad ay aking nalaman na ang guro ay aking pangalawang magulang. Habang nagkakaedad, naitanong sa sarili at unti unti aking nadiskubre ang kanilang halaga.”

This statement highlights the significant role teachers play in our lives. Especially during our formative years. Recognizing the emotional bond with her teachers, she views them as a second parent who provides them not just academic guidance but also care and mentorship. As she grows older, she begins to reflect on this connection that she has made with her teachers and understand it’s deeper significance. Appreciating how teachers shape character, instill values, and help students navigate challenges, extending their influence beyond the classroom. Ultimately, this passage demonstrates the evolution of recognizing a teacher’s care to deeply appreciating their profound impact on personal growth. Emphasizing that education is about fostering relationships that promote resilience and development.

“Kulang man sa tulog, pinipilit pa rin kumayod. Kapiranggot man ang sweldo, wala kang maririnig na reklamo. Umaraw man, bumagyo, pagtuturo ay ‘di humihinto. Kaharapin man ang iba’t ibang mukha, Sa pasensya Sila ay dalubhasa.”

The opening lines convey a sense of determination. Teachers continue to work hard, even when they lack sleep. Illustrating their passion and commitment to education. The mention of low salaries highlights the economic challenges teachers often face; despite this, their lack of complaint speaks volumes about their sense of duty and love for their profession.

Overall, this passage serves as a tribute to educators, emphasizing the vital role they play in shaping futures despite the challenges they face every day. It calls for recognition and appreciation of their hard work. Let us appreciate this poem for encouraging us, as students, to cherish and support our teachers. They not only shape our futures but also provide us with valuable life lessons. This poem will surely inspire students to express their gratitude and affection for their educators.
