On October 31st, 2024, FEPSians came together to celebrate the joyous occasion of Diwali, a festival symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness.

The program started with Ms. Mary Jane P. Onato, our Esteemed Principal, delivering an inspirational speech emphasizing inclusivity and understanding different cultures. Her wise words gave us a sense of harmony and appreciation for the diversity that makes our school unique.

To deepen the understanding of Diwali’s significance, Arsalan Malick and Stella D’Souza provided an informative overview of the festival’s historical background. This led to a Candle Lighting Ceremony organized by the Student Government (SSG), where students who made homemade paper lanterns were invited to light their candles in tribute to the celebration.

The festivities continued with a vibrant cultural dance performed by the SSG, showcasing the rich heritage of the Hindu community. Students were encouraged to join in, making the celebration interactive and energetic.

Selected members of the Maharlika Dance Troupe (MDT) were then invited on stage to lead the Morning Assembly, formally concluding the joyous celebration of Diwali.

The event illuminated the school grounds with lights and laughter, fostering a deeper connection among students and highlighting the beauty of cultural diversity.
