On November 13, 2025, Far Eastern Private School, Al Shahba, gathered to celebrate World Kindness Day. This special event focused on showing how simple acts of kindness can make a big positive difference.

Kindness Club officers—the hearts that make kindness possible.

The program was held in two sessions: one for Kindergarten to Grade 4 on the main ground and another for Grades 5 to 10 at the Girls Block. The entire celebration was organized by the Kindness Club officers and representatives, who worked together to prepare a meaningful program for the students.

The event began with a warm welcome from Loraine Casora (President) and Chantal Uy (Vice President). They introduced the purpose of World Kindness Day and explained how even small actions can create a big impact. During this part, Kindness Club representatives handed out positive quotes and affirmations to inspire everyone to practice kindness.

Building a culture of compassion through stories that matter.

After the welcome, Anela Turingan (Treasurer) and Chloe Dakokoy (Grade 7 Representative) discussed the history of World Kindness Day. They explained that it was first celebrated in 1998 with the goal of encouraging kindness across cultures and communities.

Zoe Dela Cruz (Public Relations Officer) and Alessandra Palacio (Auditor) then talked about how kindness can truly create a ripple effect that reaches many people. Then Elise Palalay (Sergeant at Arms) and Ayesa Romero (Grade 6 Representative) asked the audience an important question: “What is kindness, and why should we use it in action?” and encouraged students to think about how they can practice kindness every day.

Sharing stories that inspire kindness in every corner of our school.

One of the highlights of the program came when Samantha Florendo (Grade 8 Representative) and Jeimee De Guzman (Secretary) shared inspiring stories about kindness. Samantha talked about how simple gestures like holding the door or greeting others can brighten someone’s day. Jeimee shared how kindness has made a positive difference in her own life and the lives of those around her.

The program continued with a meaningful reading of the poem “Deep Kindness” by Aistline Flores (Grade 9 Representative). The poem reminded everyone that even the smallest acts can leave a lasting impact.

Kindness grows stronger when we stand together.

To close the event, Aleiah Mitra (Sergeant at Arms) encouraged students to continue practicing kindness not just on World Kindness Day, but every day.

The program served as a reminder that kindness is simple yet powerful. It connects people, builds trust, and shows that the world can be gentle when we choose to be kind.
