In a particular country, the cities are so advanced that they have robots; the most popular is Cybernetica. Technology has moved to such heights that almost everything is replaced with robots. Everyone thought they could not beat the robots, but there was a very determined man to stand above the robots; his name was Martinez. Martinez dreams of being the lead singer in a band, but the thing is, he does not have a band. The robots have taken over music. Still, Martinez wants to be a famous singer known across Cybernetica. Martinez knows the skill gap between him and Robot Ipon, the most famous music robot in Cybernetica. He knows that, currently, he is no match against Robot Ipon and his band.
While walking home from watching a performance by the popular musician Robot Ipon, he thinks music should be made by humans because, unlike robots, humans can express emotions while robots can only imitate emotions. Martinez noticed a sign that said, “Music Area,” with an arrow showing the way. When Martinez arrived at the area, he was surprised to see humans performing instead of robots. It was a band performing, but they were missing a lead singer.
After the band finished performing, Martinez walks up to them and asks, “Hey! That was a really good performance! Can I go next?”
One of the people in the band, whose name is Bane, answered, “Go ahead! But try to impress the people!”
Martinez nods and proceeds to walk up on stage. As soon as Martinez started singing, everyone was shocked! They did not think he would have such an amazing voice; his voice showed so much emotion and talent. The band decided to join him on the stage to play instruments, and everyone watching was singing and dancing to the performance.
After their performance, Bane said, “You have such an amazing voice! You know… We need a lead singer in our band, and I think I have found the best person for it! You!”
Martinez was so happy and accepted their offer; now, Martinez performs on the stage frequently. After a month had passed, a former music manager named Coach Miguel, who was famous back then, was walking down the road. As he got closer to the area, he started hearing Martinez’s voice. Coach Miguel started walking faster. While seeing Martinez and his band perform, the flame of Coach Miguel’s old dream started to reignite. After Martinez and his band finished performing, coach Miguel asked them if they were interested in performing in front of a large crowd.
Everyone in the band except Martinez recognized who he was. “It’s Coach Miguel!”
“Is that him? The famous music manager from 40 years ago?” says some of the people in the band.
Martinez asked who he was, and everyone in the band was confused.
“You do not know him!?”, “He was the one who made The Future Hand popular!” said Bane.
“That is so amazing!” Said Martinez.
“How about it? Wanna give it a shot?” asked Coach Miguel.
“YEAH!” everyone in the band shouted.
While they were talking, a couple of robots were eavesdropping on them, and they informed Robot Ipon about this. After Robot Ipon heard about this, they decided to keep an eye on the band. So, Coach Miguel started training the band for their upcoming performance. After a few months, they had their first performance in front of a large crowd, and the robots became more alert of Martinez and his band, and now, they recognize him as a threat to Robot Ipon. On one of their performances, Robot Ipon, the most famous robot in the city, challenged the band to a music battle; both agreed that whoever lost would have to disband their band. Robot Ipon suggested this because they were confident that they would win. On the day of the challenge, both bands would take turns performing their songs. The battle started even and slowly, it became one-sided, with Ipon losing very badly. He could not take this loss and started throwing a tantrum. Martinez and his band had beaten the robots!
News spread fast about Robot Ipon being overthrown by Martinez and his band. Every person in the city was confused upon hearing the news. They could not believe that a person managed to beat a robot. Meanwhile, Coach Miguel did not hesitate to start applying for live concerts immediately. Martinez has finally achieved his goals; he has a band and has become the best singer in Cybernetica. Multiple years had passed, and there were holograms and banners of Martinez and his band everywhere across Cybernetica, It just goes to show how far they had come, so much so that even the robots respected them, except for one robot, Robot Ipon, who still could not get over the fact that he lost. Martinez chose to follow his path even though most people would not; he did not feel hopeless against whatever stood in his way and kept on moving. All of this led to where he is now. He would go on to become a worldwide musician in the coming years.
