On October 16, 2025, students of Far Eastern Private School Al Shaba acknowledged the occasion of World Food Day, organized by the Supreme Student Government.

The event began with the Supreme Student Government’s Grade 5 Representative, Aithan Andrew Wijenayaka, addressing the pupils on the difference between healthy food and unhealthy food. He discussed that eating healthy food will keep our mind and body fit and strong, while eating unhealthy food can lead to sickness. This reminded students to choose wisely before consuming food.

After Aithan’s short talk, the MAPEH Club proceeded with the activity to highlight the point of making healthy eating a priority. They discussed different food groups with their respective health advantages and invited students to exercise discerning choice in the food they eat. The activity served to reinforce Aithan’s talk and encouraged students to adopt healthier eating choices, interestingly and thoughtfully.

The event continued with a joyful and energetic dance performance by the kindergarten department. They wore lively, fruit-and-vegetable-themed costumes that brightened up the stage and brought smiles to everyone’s faces. The children danced cheerfully to “Golden” by Huntrix, filling the room with laughter and excitement as the audience clapped along to the beat.

To conclude the wonderful celebration, everyone gathered for a group picture-taking session, capturing the joyful memories of the day and celebrating the spirit of unity, health, and appreciation for food from around the world.
