December 5th was the last day of FEPS intramurals. Students, teachers, parents, and visitors who were present were asked about their opinion on the recent coming back from online learning to face to face learning after the situation of the COVID -19 has been deemed safe with the minimal precautions in place such as wearing of masks at all times, social distancing, washing hands, etc.

Unsurprisingly all the people that were interviewed on the school ground had similar responses about the implementation face-to-face. Here are some of their thoughts:

“Yes. It’s more effective ( face to face learning) because the concentration of the kids will be at the (on the) teacher.”

– parent

“Face to face is definitely more effective, based on our experience students tend to use or do something different rather than studying (during online learning).“

– parent

“Face-to-face is much more effective than online learning because kids get to interact with people their age and develop and improve the kids’ communication skills unlike when they are online and just stay at home with their gadgets.”

– parent

“Face to face is also more effective because students can do more physical activities

and not just sit in front of their gadgets.”

 – Azhley Lopez, SSG president

“Face to face is more effective because during online learning especially during an exam. We’re always using google or like mathway or some apps . So if we’re doing face to face it’s a challenge (because) it’s hard to cheat. “

– Aliston Ernest George from 9B

“Face to face is also effective. Teachers can’t really monitor the students if they search on Google, they won’t know (online) but in face to face they can monitor.”

– Althea Laxamana, SSG secretary

“Face to face is effective. The pupils interact with their classmates. Group activities are helpful in students’ learning and in face to face they can do it freely.”

– Ms. Seprina, G2A adviser

“Face to face is more effective. All of us are happy and physically we meet each other”

– Ms.Yvette, G10C adviser
