On the 2nd of October, 2025, FEPS Al Shahba came together at the campus’ main ground for the celebration of teachers’ day.
— a day filled with gratitude, talent, and heartfelt tributes to the mentors who shape our journey!
The program began with opening remarks from our beloved principal, Ms. Mary Jane P. Onato, who expressed acknowledgment to both teachers and students for their dedication, making everyone feel valued and appreciated. This was followed with a lively morning assembly dance led by the Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers.
Next in the program, a group of students showcased a poem recital in Arabic to deliver gratitude to their teachers. Following this, the high school department took the stage for a series of poem recitals in different languages. Martha Carlos (8C) recited a poem in English titled “The Light.” Anela Turingan (9C) and Ameera Marianito (9C) followed with a heartfelt recital in Filipino titled “Mga Guro: Haligi ng Bayan, Gabay sa Kaalaman.” Lastly, Brianne Arcena (8C), Martha Carlos (8C), and Sheimiel De Guzman introduced themselves and delivered a sincere message.
To honor the teachers, Zoe Dela Cruz (9D) and Anaiah Estares (9C) dedicated a song number, with their touching lyrics and harmony that moved many in the crowd, especially the teachers.
Soon after, the mood shifted to an energetic performance from the Dance Club and an impressive presentation from the Maharlika Dance Troupe (MDT), which lifted the crowd’s spirit. The program continued with a passionate singing performance by Ms. Jeharalyn Ysulan and Ms. Shamira Jimenez, followed by a moving duet by Mr. Jestone Pungan and Ms. Aya Gantala, which captivated the audience and added a special touch to the celebration.
Finally, the event was brought to a close with the inspiring closing remarks of Ms. Seprina T. Sangcajo, leaving the campus with a lasting sense of unity and appreciation.
The celebration highlighted the importance of appreciation, unity, and respect in our school. By showcasing the talents of both students and teachers, it became a heartfelt tribute to our teachers, recognizing their guidance and support. The event left everyone inspired and grateful, reminding all FEPSians that every word of encouragement and shared moment of learning helps build a caring and connected community.
Happy Teacher’s Day to our dear educators and second parents!
