In the heart of the Philippines, there lives a cultural kaleidoscope woven with the threads of diverse cultures and vibrant heritage. With anticipation filling the air, FEPSians are filled with buzzing exhilaration for this momentous occasion. Held on the 25th of May, located at the Al Shahbab, Al Ali Club, the FEPS 23rd Founding Anniversary takes its place, with the theme, “Harmonizing Heritage Through Celebrating Cultural Rhythms of the Philippines.”

The day officially began with the first part of the programme. With the parade of the FEPS Al Shahba Drum and Lyre, the day became not just a celebration, but a fiesta of cultural unity, where every beat, every step, and every smile tell a story of resilience, inclusivity, and dignity.

Following, the parade of all grade levels commenced. Proudly showcasing the vibrant and significant components of the Pinoy Heritage.

Once all grades were finished with the parade, the second part of the programme was set in motion. The beating of the U.A.E. National Anthem and the Philippine National Anthem was led by Zahra Gail R. Fragata, following the Islamic Prayer, led by Alradgin Angelo Q. Garcia, the Christian Prayer led by Paulo Mechetabel B. Arduo, and of course, the opening remarks was delivered by the school principal, Ms. Mary Jane P. Onato.

After the programme proper finished, we were off to the various dance presentations. To begin the third part of the event, the judges were introduced, along with the criteria for judging.

Subsequently, the dance presentations of the Junior High School department began. Amazing the crowd with their extraordinary dances. With each performance, every grade was able to represent the various segments of our Pinoy culture. Leaving a lasting impression amongst the audience.

Woven by a deep sense of unity and diversity, the dance presentations of the Kindergarten Department began, with laughter, applause, and cheers rippling through the midst of the crowd.

Once they were finished, the awarding of the kindergarten performances took place.

Following this, the schools’ PTCA Officers performed their very own intermission number. With talent and camaraderie, they were able to deliver a performance that astonished the audience, contributing to one joyful atmosphere.

As the next part of the programme commenced, the coronation of Mayflower winners were held. Starting with the Mayflower candidates’ grand walk, following with the Grand Walk of the Majesty King and Queen (With the king being Elijah Grey M. Ramos and the Queen being Joshia Dahnica Ysabella G. Santos).

After that, the Maharlika Dance Troupe captivated the crowd once again with their extraordinary production number. Leaving them with pure exhilaration. And with that, the Mayflower 2024 (King & Queen) entourage took place, following the awarding of the certificates of participation.

After a short break, the program was back on track. Beginning with an intermission number by the FEPS Al Shahba Faculty and Staff, transporting the audience to a mesmerizing journey of delight and amazement.

Additionally, the dance presentations of the Primary Department commenced. Following with the dance presentations of the Intermediate department.

Once all grade levels were finished showcasing their eye-capturing performances, the Awarding of Winners for the Performances began, led by the school management.

For the Junior High School Department, the awarding of winners consisted with the Grade 8AB as the second runner-up, followed by the Grade 7CD as the first runner-up, and the Grade 9AB as this school year’s foundation day reigning champions.

After the Awarding of Winners for the Performances, the Closing Remarks was then held by the school vice principal, Mr. Paul Benedict N. Yacap. Followed by the Beating of the FEPS Hymn, led by Zareth Ulrych M. Lim.

The 23rd Founding Anniversary of Far Eastern Private School has added yet another significant milestone to its journey of success. It serves as a heartfelt reminder that not only the hardships we have endured along the way is remembered, but also the importance of fostering team camaraderie, which highlighted the value of collectively putting effort as one whole community.

In addition, this annual event has also emphasized the crucial importance of remembering and celebrating our diverse cultures and vibrant heritage. As well as empowering us to honor and preserve the unique traditions of our motherland.
