Far Eastern Private School celebrated the World’s Teachers’ Day on October 4 for its teachers, whose Distance Learning (DL) and Face-to-Face (F2F) Learning students made the event possible.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic being an issue, both DL and F2F students of FEPS Al Shabah participated in the celebration. Using different methods of showing their gratitude and appreciation made the event a success. Students from different grade levels made the event possible by planning ahead of time and giving their teachers big surprises, either by making a video compilation of pictures or presenting speeches made by different students.
The Supreme Student Government (SSG) also prepared song covers and a video presentation to display their appreciation for all the hardworking teachers. All teachers and SSG officers gathered in a Zoom meeting for a small program. The Opening Prayer was led by the SSG Vice President of the girls’ block, Jessamyn Guinanao. The Opening Remarks were then delivered by the SSG President, Sophia Azhley Lopez, to welcome all the attendees.
This was followed by song performances rendered by the P.R.O. of the girl’s block, Venise Kirsten Delantar, who covered the songs “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “Oceans”. While the love song “I Like You So Much You’ll Know It” was performed by the trio – Althea Fhaynne Laxamana, Vierra Martha Castillo, and Jessamyn Guinanao – to serenade the teachers.
A heartfelt video presentation was then presented where pictures of unforgettable memories with teachers were compiled. The former SSG President of Batch 2020-2021, Isabella
Gillego Serrano was also invited to give a gratitude speech to all the teachers in FEPS for their hard work and support. To end the program, the OIC Principal, Ms. Mary Jane P. Onato, delivered the Closing Remarks. She thanked all the students for their effort, participation and commended the teachers for their never-ending dedication.
