On November 29, FEPS Al Shahba hosted a wonderful Family Fun Day—an event full of joy, laughter, and meaningful togetherness. The goal was simple yet powerful. This event was held to be able to strengthen the bonds within families and build a sense of community at school.

The day began with an opening program led by Sir Jestone Pungan, after which all the students, parents, and staff paraded to the main ground, proudly grouped by their team colors. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as the members of the Parent-Teacher Committee (PTC) stepped up to give an uplifting speech that set the tone for the day.

Next, the school principal, Miss Mary Jane P. Onato, delivered a heartfelt message, expressing gratitude to everyone that took part on this day and emphasizing the importance of unity, family, and school spirit. Afterwards, the PTC officers returned to the stage to express their gratitude for the support and effort that made the event possible.

To start up the day with excitement and positive energy, the faculty organized a fun and lovely morning exercise session.

Then, the fun began. The Blue Team headed to the boys’ block for energetic parkour games. Meanwhile, the Red and Yellow Teams stayed at the main ground and enjoyed a variety of mini-games with their families. Over at the girls’ block, the Green Team led a series of energizing games, raising the spirits of all participants.

After the games, everyone paused for a well-deserved break. Families gathered and shared food, enjoying a relaxed moment together and recharging before the next round of activities.

Back on the main ground, the event continued with a lively Family Talent Show, where different families stepped onto the stage to showcase their unique talents and creative performances. The sense of pride, joy, and togetherness was evident in every performance.

Next came a friendly volleyball match featuring staff and faculty versus the mothers; this gave them a lovely opportunity for parents and school staff to connect and bond in a fun, informal setting. The excitement carried on with a basketball match between the staff and the fathers, where the game was not just about competition but also about teamwork, camaraderie, and building new friendships throughout the games.

This marked the end of family fun day; it was clear that the event had achieved more than just entertainment. It brought together families, staff, and students in a shared experience of laughter, connection, and joy. The friendships made, the memories created, and the sense of community forged will remain long after the event.
