Club Recruitment Day, held September 8, 2022, marks the beginning of academic and non-academic clubs that students of Far Eastern Private School (Al Shabha campus) will be participating in to further expand their skills and talents in different fields.
FEPS’ Grade 10 students were given the task to organize booths for each club. Though the given time was limited and the students were still getting used to leadership, they were able to carry out their roles. Joms Caña of 10A Newton remarks, “Though it feels very different, I feel like we have to grow up from being dependent students to independent ones.” On the day of recruitment, the efforts of the Junior High School atudents spoke through the creativity of each booth displayed on FEPS’ Main Ground.
Grade 4-10 students enjoyed the event and are looking forward to the active functioning of clubs now being held face-to-face. As Vierra Castillo of 10D Hooke states, “I feel like the clubs are much more open to a lot of people; there are more opportunities and choices that students could choose from compared to online.” In addition, a FEPS teacher, Sir Abdullah Macalilay mentioned that as the School Activity Coordinator, he is delighted with the re-opening of clubs physically because it is more enjoyable for the students rather than online where the campus is quiet.
FEPS Club Recruitment Day was a success that everyone hopes will be the start of an active school year where students will be trained to nurture their abilities in various sectors.
