READY, SET, CREATE!Children are enjoying in following the steps on how to create a pop-up book led by FEPS students and advisers (Ms. Seprina S. and Sir Jeff M.)

Selected students from FEPS Shabah hosted two workshops and one puppet show over the course of three days in Sharjah International Book Fair, November 8.

Four students from Grade 9C; (photo  from left)  Klarizze Dela Pena, Fouzia Khan, Mhariam Abouelyazid,  and Samantha Samson, were given the chance to present three times at the fair.

The girls showed the process of making a pop-up book step-by-step and assisted the students and kids when needed.

Three days after their first visit on November 11,  they came back to present a puppet show about the fable “The Tortoise and the Hare”. They staged their handmade puppets  all within three days. Together, they enticed the audience with their great show.

November 13, they held again another workshop on how to make pop-up books. With the prior knowledge on how to run the workshops smoothly and efficiently, they created a more enjoyable experience.

Multiple schools across Sharjah were given the chance to present numerous activities showcasing their talents on behalf of the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA). Activities ranged from workshops to students showing their perspectives on how to fight cyberbullying through graphic arts and media.

The said book fair is an 11-day international event held annually at the Expo Centre Sharjah. It was first launched in 1982 under the guidance of His Higness Dr. Sheikh Muhammad Al-Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah.
