To further assess the thinking skills, students from grades 3, 5, 7 and 9 of Far Eastern Private School took the Cognitive Ability Test – 4th Edition (CAT 4) last November 29 & 30, 2021, which took place on the computer laboratories of the school.
As mentioned in the advisory, the test aims to challenge students in terms of Verbal, Non-Verbal, Quantitative, and Spatial Reasoning. The data can be used to identify specific groups of students including special educational needs, gifted and talented.
One of the main objectives of CAT 4 is to help determine the optimum learning style for each student which would help them cope easily.
Understanding each of the questions in the set will enable the brain to function properly. This would be beneficial to the students, particularly in critical thinking.
